Climbing in Rocky Mountain National Park – Estes Park -

There are many different types of climbing, categorized from the oldest form – traditional (or trad) climbing to bouldering.  Bouldering is described as climbing on a short low route without the use of safety ropes. Sport climbing, a 3rd type of climbing, usually takes place on cliffs with cracks that have pre-drilled permanent bolt hangers that you would clip into. Just as in rafting the grade of a climbing route generally starts with 5, a skilled vertical or near vertical rock that requires a rope for safety. No matter what form of climbing you are wanting to try, the beauty that surrounds you is nothing short of amazing.
