Marmots in and around Wildwood Inn in Estes Park

The yellow-bellied marmot’s can be seen around Wildwood Inn’s property both in the lawn nibbling on lunch or sunning themselves on the many rock formations.

When you come close to a  Marmot you may hear a shrill piercing chirp which is used to announce your presence.

Old Fall River Road is Open

Fall River Road started being built in 1913 and was completed in 1920. This road follows an old Native American pathway. After Trail Ridge Road was completed in 1932, the dirt road became a one-way scenic drive which takes you passed the Lawn Lake, Alluvial Fan area as well as Chasm Falls. The opportunity to travel this beautiful road is limited to a few months in the summer so plan to make this drive a must see!
