It is great to have so many different kinds of wildlife on the property not to mention the beautiful bird songs in the early mornings. Spring is definitely in the air and Wildwood Inn is gearing up to see all our returning friends as well as all the friends we have to meet.

Our deer family relaxing in the warm spring like weather! Things are starting to green up with hopes that spring is really here.
Oh, but Colorado is always full of surprises! I don’t think winter is gone just yet. JilLayne is out making sure all of our walks are clear! She always does a great job!
The herd of bull elk have been seen many times a day roaming the mountain eating and prancing about. Even though the side walks are swept daily it is not uncommon for our guests to have to dodge “elk duds”. The bighorn sheep have also been seen which indicates snow is on the way, which indeed it is snowing, however we are not suppose to get much snow. We are anticipating to book up for this weekend so if you have not booked your reservation yet do it soon!

What a beautiful day at Wildwood Inn in Estes Park, Colorado. The sun is out and the birds are singing. We sure did go from winter to spring in a hurry. Bob plowed over 40 miles all on Wildwood Inn’s property, with this last storm. We tried getting a picture of the black arctic fox as he was out hunting in full force through all the snow, but he did not want any part of that. He leaves the posing for pictures to his girlfriend “Red Girl” our red fox.
